Medical Marijuana, otherwise known as Cannabis is a compound extracted from the Cannabis plant. It’s a psychoactive organic drug used for diverse conditions and to alleviate pain. The cannabinoids, Cannabidiol (CBD) and Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), present in marijuana act on cannabinoid receptors in the body for it to take effect.

Opioids are used in cancer treatment and to stop diarrhea. However, people have become more aware of the numerous side effects associated with Opioids making the synthetic drugs less favorable.
